Hello, welcome to Veru Knap Photography. My name is Veru and I am a proud mom of 3 amazing (and to be honest, sometimes mischievous) kids. I am originally from Prague, but have been calling Vienna my second home since 2016.
I am a family photographer, which means I offer every possible family-related session you can think of. I am happy to work with soon-to-be parents during maternity shoots. It is with equal pleasure to see these parents return with their bundle of love just a few weeks later. Nothing makes me happier than to capture your baby’s first moments, or kids playing with you or their siblings and having fun. This can be done either in my studio, at your home or outside in nature.
I started to take pictures when I had my first child in 2015. My little girl was growing up right in front of my eyes and it was all happening too fast. Photography was a way for me to slow down time a bit, capture her everyday achievements, treasure them and share them with family and friends. I fell in love with photography. What had started as a hobby turned into passion, which turned into creating my own business. I still love it as much as I did the day I started so many years ago.
As of 2020 I am happy to welcome you in my own photography studio located at Schlöglgasse in the 12th district of Vienna. I have every prop your heart desires. Be it a dress for maternity sessions, or a variety of hats, headbands and small tiny outfits for newborns or just different backgrounds that fit the mood.
It is an honour and joy to meet so many families. I love being a small part of your life for a little while and to be able to capture these moments forever.

We went for both maternity and newborn photoshoot. She provided wide range of outfits and suggested varied poses with patience.We had a wonderful experience for our newborn baby shoot. This was an extremely professional shoot. For first time parents who were just 14 days post new arrival we arrived very sleep deprived and a little nervous what if baby cries and it just becomes a nightmare! We can’t believe how chilled the atmosphere was & we were able to completely relax & even have a moment to ourselves. Veru is a master at dressing, undressing & her attention to detail to get baby in the correct poses whilst she slept throughout was amazing.
